Shelly and Harry Friedman of
Moreland Hills, Ohio, and Les-
ley and Jerold Schneider, for-
merly of Bloomfield Hills, of
Bethesda, Md., and Boca Raton,
Fla., announce the engagement
of their children, Stephanie Ilene
Friedman and Aaron Louis
Schneider.
Ms. Friedman is the grand-
daughter of the late Julius and
Pauline Friedman and Jack and
Charlotte Scolnick. She graduat-
ed from Ohio State University
with a concentration in Yiddish
and Jewish studies and is pursu-
ing a master's degree in education
and human development at
George Washington University.
She is assistant director, Women's
Division for the UJA Federation
of Greater Washington.
Mr. Schneider is the grandson
of William Schneider of Bloom-
field Township and the late
Dorothy Schneider, Etta Sickel,
and the late Sidney Sickel. He
graduated from George Wash-
ington University with a degree
in history and secondary educa-
tion. He is chairman of the Social
Studies Department and athlet-
ic director at the Canterbury
School in Maryland.
