Adult & Family Activities:

The Metro-Detroit Chapter of *Stars of David and the JCC present

Family Fun Day: Sunday, April 21 from 2:30-4:30 p.m.

This event will take place in the Rosenberg Recreation Corn-
plex in the Maple/Drake building. The afternoon will consist of structured
activities with JCC Sports & Fitness professionals.
• Organized toddler activities for ages 6 months-2 years, induding parents
Events include:
• Organized games for ages 3-5 years , including parents
• Organized age appropriate activities such as rollerblading,
soccer and baseball for ages 5 years-teens, including parents

Cost to participate is $3.50 per adult and $2.50 per child
(maximum of $12 per family) payable at the door. Refreshments will be provided.

Don't miss Gitit Shoval Sunday, April 21 at 3:30 p.m.
in Shiffman Hall at the JCC Maple/Drake building!

This special family concert features, Gitit Shoval, a rising Israeli star. Hailed as the
new spirit of Israeli music, Shoval is highly regarded for her extraordinary voice
and unique musical talent. Her stage presence has been described as "upbeat,
dynamic and engaging". Shoval will have the audience dancing in the aisles.

• /- As an added attraction, artwork from the Community Jerusalem 3000 art and es-
say contest will be on display in the lobby.

Captured Moments: Past and Present
Oral History Workshop • Open to all ages, students - adults

Learn how to conduct tape-recorded interviews while: DOING RESEARCH,
GATHERING FAMILY HISTORIES & KEEPING MEMORIES FRESH!
Oral historian and lecturer Glenn Ruggles will teach the techniques of producing a
successful oral history interview. Mr. Ruggles co-authored the workbook of the
Michigan Oral History Association and has interviewed and led workshops
throughout the country. This program will be held at the JCC Maple/Drake build-
ing in Rosenberg Lounge. It runs from 4:30-6 p.m. on four consecutive Tuesdays,
beginning April 16, or you may sign up for the one-day workshop, Sunday, May 5
from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Cost is $5 for materials and includes a workshop manual. Re-
member to bring a tape recorder and blank tape.

Sponsored by Generations Together and the Jewish Community Archives, in cooperation
with the Michigan/Israel Connection and the Michigan Jewish Historical Society. This pro-
gram is made possible by a grant from the Max M. Fisher Jewish Community Foundation of
the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.

Mr. Greener, awarded the title of "Honored Artist of Russia", spent eight years at
the Saratov Opera Theatre, had leading roles at the Moscow Operetta Theatre
and was a vocal instructor.

Don't miss this beautiful vocal concert!

Songs of Our Heritage, a Yom Ha'Atzmaut Concert, will take place Wednesday, April
24 at 12:30 p.m. in the Janice Charach Museum/Gallery at the Maple/Drake JCC.
Returning by popular demand, Larisa Matusova, Ida Kogan and Rivka Latinskaya,
accompanied by pianist Regina Papiyants will perform memorable music in
English, Russian, German, Hebrew, Yiddish and Italian.

The charge for this concert is $2 for JCC members and $3 for non-members..
