will hold its Spring conference on
Sunday, May 5, at Shaarey
Zedek-B'nai Israel Center, West
Bloomfield, and Monday, May 6,
at Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
Southfield. The theme of this
year's conference is "Living in
Two Worlds — Blessing or Bur-
den?"
Gloria Cohen, national vice
president and consultant for
Women's League will conduct a
workshop on Sunday and will ad-
dress the conference on "Toward
a Better World: A Look to the Fu-
ture" on Monday.
Rabbi Marla Feldman, assis-
tant director for domestic con-
cerns for the Jewish Community
Council, will present a social ac-
tion workshop, "Living in the
World Community," on Sunday.
Conducting a workshop on Rosh
Hodesh as a study theme will be
Nancy Kaplan, former educa-
tional programmer for the
Midrasha. On Monday morning
following Shaharit services, a
Torah study session will be led
by Hillel Day School teacher Shu-
la Fleischer.
Sunday evening, an installa-
tion of Michigan Branch 1996-98
officers and president, Faye Ull-
mann, will be held.

Speaker Donna May will tell
how to "Handle Stress with Hu-
mor." Ms. May has a master's in
Dr. Rubin Naiman, resident psy-
chologist at Canyon Ranch in Ari-
zona, will be the featured speaker
at Temple Israel Sisterhood's
Election meeting on Monday,
April 15, at noon.
Speaking on "Psychology, Spir-
ituality and You — The Women of
the Nineties," Dr. Naiman
bridges the gap between what is
practical and psychological on one

hand, and mystical and spiritu-
al on the other. Dr. Naiman has
his Ph.D. in clinical psychology
and has worked in the mental
health field for almost 25 years.
His work includes private prac-
tice in marriage and family coun-
seling.
