DESIGNER
BREAKFAST

Jacobson's recently hosted a
breakfast at the Townsend Ho-
tel to introduce the spring col-
lection of New York designer
Eric Gaskins. From the wet-
look sheath dresses to the ele-
gant gowns with chiffon coats,
the clothing was fresh and ex-
citing. More than 70 people at-
tended the elegant morning.
Annette Fink, Lillian Ketai
and Judy Greenwald were
some of the guests. Lillian
Greenwald, of the designer sa-
lon at Jacobson's in Birming-
ham, described Mr. Gaskins'
clothes as "Audrey Hepburn of
the `90s."

TEMPLE TREASURES

The Temple Treasures of
Temple Israel recently hosted
guest speaker Esther Tarnoff-
Cooper, who discussed Jewish
magic and superstition.
The event attracted a large
crowd, which included Lillian
Dean, Rose Jacobs, Gert
Brainin, Faye and Saul
Glosser and Ethel Toby.
