Maple Road West Bloomfield Borders Hosts Jack Miles On April 16, Judith Cantor, archivist and president of the Jew- ish Historical Society of Michigan, will address the noon luncheon meeting of the Temple Beth El Beth Elders at the temple. Mrs. Cantor is the archivist at Congregation Shaarey Zedek; su- pervisory archivist for the Philip Slomovitz collection at WSU's Reuther Archives; curator for "The Sinai Heritage," a perma- nent exhibit at Sinai Hospital; and "Blacks and Jews: The Michi- gan Perspective," co-sponsored by the NAACP, Jewish Community Council et al at WSU. Plant, the temple's rabbinic schol- ar, in a discussion of "Intermar- riage-Blessing or Curse?" Rabbi Plaut was the senior rabbi of Temple Emanu-El in San Jose, Calif, from 1985 to 1993; he also was adjunct assistant pro- fessor in the Religious Studies De- partment at Santa Clara University in San Jose. Rabbi Plaut served as senior rabbi at Congregation Beth El in Wind- sor, Ontario, from 1970 to 1984. He also hosted a weekly religious news program on CBET-TV tele- vision and CKWW radio. The 1 p.m. program is open to the community without charge and reservations are not needed.
