For Detroit's neediest Jews, Passover means a welcome gift from Moies Chetim and Yad Ezra. ore than 100 Moies Chetim (money for wheat) and Yad Ezra volunteers combined to distribute special Passover parcels to 700 Detroit-area families last Sunday at the Yad Ezra kosher food bank warehouse. It is anticipated that this year's distribution will reach some 1,300 families. The Passover parcels in- cluded matzah, gefilte fish, tuna, grape juice, stuffing mix, cake mix, oil, Haggadot, eggs, chicken and horseradish. Nvo,4 Moies Chetim, a charitable orga- nization dating back to the 1920s, raises funds specifically for Passover food distribution to the needy.
