It would seem, at first glance, that Chana Rosenberg and her children would be easy enough to find. They were, at one time, ob- servant Jews, which means their dress would be modest and pre- sumably they would want to be among other Orthodox Jews. At the time of his disappearance, Zelig had payot and regularly wore a kippah. Yet not only does Mr. Rosen- berg believe his former wife is no longer observant, but based on her behavior those last months he saw her, he fears Chana may not even be raising the children as Jews. "Is she still even Jewish?" he says. "That's a good question." Mr. Rosenberg's own life has changed dramatically since the disappearance of Chaya and Zelig. Most Chasidim are not ex- actly the most public of persons. But since his former wife left, Mr. Rosenberg has appeared on "Ger- aldo" and contacted several oth- er national television programs in an effort to gain publicity for his case. He has since remarried and has a new baby girl, as well. His current wife, Tzillah, joins him in his quest to find his missing chil- dren. Will they ever be reunited? Yitzhak Rosenberg will not give up hope.
