Which is why Sunday's Tzedakah Experience at Temple Beth El in Birmingham was packed with games and inventive approaches to help- ing youngsters feel good about aid- ing the less fortunate. The program aimed to teach children and adults alike about services available in the commu- nity to assist the elderly, hungry and the physically and mentally handicapped. More than a dozen congrega- tions and religious schools took part in the event, which was co- sponsored by Beth El, the Women's Division of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan De- troit, the Agency for Jewish Ed- ucation, the Jewish Educators' Council and The Jewish News. ❑
