Women Hold
Half-Marathon Set Annual Tourney

The West Bloomfield Half-
Marathon will celebrate its 20th
anniversary race April 21, start-
ing at West Bloomfield High
School.
The event will include the half-
marathon (13.1 miles), a 5K
run/walk (3.1 miles), and a Kids
Fun Run at the high school.
The 5K begins at 10:30 a.m.,
and has an entry fee of $12 be-
fore April 12 and $15 after that
date. The fun run starts at 11:30
a.m., with fees of $8 before April
12 and $10 after.
The half-marathon will start
at 12:45 p.m. Fees are $15 before
April 12, $20 after that date.

World Maccabiah Games in Is-
rael will hold tryouts in Florida
on July 21-23.
Men's team hopefuls need a
handicap of five or under. Women
and persons trying out for the
masters team (over 50 as of July
1, 1997) need a handicap of eight
or under.
A 54-hole qualifying tourna-
ment will be held at the Doral Re-
sort and Country Club in Miami.
An optional practice day is sched-
uled for July 20.

annual tournament March 9-10
at Hartfield Lanes in Berkley.
Twenty-five teams participated.
At the awards and installation
luncheon March 17 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue, the following
