The Capitol Theatre and Arts
Centre will welcome Toronto's
Theresa Tova and Ensemble for
an afternoon of vocal per-
formance, blending Yiddish
melodies with Broadway.
Theresa Tova's performance
of "From Belz to Broadway" will
pay tribute to Mery Katzman,
a Windsor native who, prior to
his death last year from cancer,
generously donated $900,000 to
assure the future of the Windsor-
Essex County Family YMCA
(now the Mery Katzman YMCA),
the success of the Windsor/Jew-
ish Community Centre Renais-
sance project and to establish the
Daniel and Ann Katzman Stu-
dent Lounge at the University of
Windsor, in honor of his parents.
Tickets for the Sunday, April
14, 3 p.m. concert are available
in advance from the Capitol The-
atre and Arts Centre box office,

Talks To ORT

The Michigan Region of
Women's American ORT will
host a program on Monday, April
8, at 10 a.m. in the ORT confer-
ence room, 31275 Northwestern
Highway, Farmington Hills.
The guest speaker will be
Henry Friedman, a local sculp-
tor and former ORT student in
Italy and New York. Mr. Fried-
man will speak on his experi-
ences as a Holocaust survivor
and a student in ORT schools.
A Passover kosher brunch will

Are Varied

A Passover dance will be held on

the JPM JCC. Ron Walker will

March 31, at 2 p.m. There is a

The class, Exploring The
World of Art, will have five ses-
sions with instructor William Bo-
stick beginning Thursday, April
18, from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
