nized for his outstanding dedi-
cation and leadership as the
executive director of the Lon-
gacre House of Farmington Hills.
Mr. Marks created new educa-
tional programs for the residents,
instituted scholarships for qual-
ified students and has made in-
frastructure improvements.

team of fifth and sixth grade stu-
dents took second place in the
Odyssey of the Mind Regional
tournament held in Waterford.
They now advance to the State
tournament to be held in April.
The Glengary team, coached by

sists of Brendan Ballert, Kelly
Briody, Nicole Johnson, Ian
Mogg, Shannon Schafer, Sara
Smith and Adam Weiss.

AIMEE RHODES MITTEL-
MAN, and SCOTT MITTEL-
MAN are in the communication
field. Scott is an executive at the
Israel Film Archives and an ac-
tive administrator of the annu

al Israel Film Festival. Aimee'
holds a radio correspondent on
Kol Israel (the Voice of Israel), a
news reporter for Reuters News
Service and a television reporter
on "Jerusalem On Line."

Temple Sinai of Sarasota, Fla.,
will honor CANTOR AND
MRS. ARTHUR ASHER. Can-
tor Asher was director of educa-
tion for Temple Israel as well as
dean of the College of Jewish
Studies in Detroit. Evelyn Ash-
er was a teacher at the College
of Jewish Studies and at Temple
Israel Sunday School and was
creator of a Hebrew readiness
program for children in pre-
kindergarten through third
grade.

Creative Pesach
At Adat Shalom

Adat Shalom Synagogue will of-
fer a Creative Pesach Workshop
and Wine Tasting at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday, March 24.
Participants will learn from
Rabbi Efry Spectre how to put
more pizazz into Pesach. There
will be an opportunity to sample
a selection of kosher-for-Pesach
wines. Recipe pamphlets will be
available.
The Adat Shalom Sisterhood
will have Pesach Judaica on dis-
play.
The community is welcome.
There is no charge. Responses to
Adat Shalom Synagogue, 851-
5100, are required by Thursday,
March 21.
