Nortel, a large U.S. company, is represented in Is- rael by Tetrad. The $12 million deal will be implemented by the summer of 1997. Nortel manufactures plat- forms for the supply of value- added services attached to existing digital phone ex- changes. Jerusalem (JPFS) — Aladdin Knowledge Systems has signed a letter of intent to acquire Fast Software Security. Aladdin said the transaction will consist of 3.15 million Al- addin shares, plus an addition- al number of shares whose total value is $8 million. Fast is one of the world's three-largest international soft- ware security firms, with 1995 revenues of $13.5 million. Com- pany headquarters are in Mu- nich, Germany.
