Peace Process
Talk Slated
On Thursday, March 21, The
Jewish Community Council will
host "Can We Talk: An Evening
of IntraJewish Dialogue on
Peace and Security for Israel,"
at 7:30 p.m. at the Maple-Drake
Jewish Community Center.
Professor Zach Levey, visit-
ing assistant professor of polit-
ical science at the University of
Michigan, will provide an
overview of how the political
and religious divisions in Israel
impact on the debate over the
peace process. Professor Levey
is a specialist on Israel foreign
policy and the Arab-Israel con-
flict and has published several
articles on the international re-
lations of the Middle East. He
is a member of the Israel De-
fense Forces, where he has
served in the paratroopers.
Genealogical
Society Meets
The Jewish Genealogical Soci-
ety of Michigan will hold its next
meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday,
March 17, in the library of Tem-
ple Beth El.
The theme of this meeting is
"Nowhere to Hide: Using Com-
puters, the Internet, and the
Latest Skip Tracing Techniques
to Find Missing Relatives". This
presentation will be given by
Dennis Keams, a private inves-
tigator with 20 years of experi-
ence in locating missing
relatives, friends, and witness-
es.
Meetings of the JHSM are
free and are open to all who are
interested in finding their Jew-
ish roots. Membership infor-
