Following are brief descriptions
of several of the guidebooks men-
tioned above, in addition to a list-
ing and/or description of other
Jewish guidebooks available and

these books in stock.
Guide to Jewish Europe (West-
em Europe Edition, revised 1995)
contains over 1,000 exciting
places to visit, including historic
synagogues, Jewish museums, an-
cient castles, world-class art mu-
seums (e.g. the Louvre in Paris,
the Prado in Madrid, the Rijksmu-
seum in Amsterdam, the British
Museum in London) and unique
sites such as the Blarney Stone,
the Anne Frank House, Devil's
Causeway, the Rothschild villas,

chapters on practical information,
what you will see, before you go,
getting around, finding sites, what
to bring and a word about anti-
Semitism. Locations covered in-
clude Poland, the Czech Republic
and Slovakia, Hungary, Romania,
the former Yugoslavia and Bulgar-
ia. Also included are helpful phras-
es, information about local
currency, kosher cuisine, helpful
addresses, and titles of local Jewish
