Kaftan-Berns

Karen Kaftan and Matthew
Berns were recently married at
Temple Israel in West Bloom-
field. Rabbis M. Robert Syme and
Harold Loss officiated.
Karen is the daughter of Dr.
Sheldon and Mari Kaftan of West
Bloomfield. Matthew is the son
of Barbara Reynolds and Peter
Berns of Chicago.
The matrons of honor were the
bride's sisters, Susan Deutsch
and Linda Lutz. Bridesmaids
were the sister of the groom, Au-
drey Berns, Carolyn Bellinson,
Amy Daniels, Amy Feldman,
Lori Kaftan, Cindy Levine, Don-
na Margolis, Julie Neff and
Jamie Topper.

The best man was Michael
Kelber. Groomsmen were Adam
Bergman, Matthew Byer, David
Deutsch, Adam Fox, Scott Hol-
stein, Dan Lutz, Steven Sclam-

were Karen's grandmother,
Annabel Topper of Chicago, who
was escorted down the aisle by
Scott Topper and Jeffrey Kaftan;
her grandfather, Allen Kaftan of
Birmingham; and Matthew's
grandparents, Gertrude and Mil-
ton Lambert of Chicago.
Following a honeymoon in
Barbados, Karen and Matthew
reside in Chicago.
