MARCH 1, 1996 Ecumenical Institute Names Two Honorees The Ecumenical Institute for Jew- ish-Christian Studies has named the Most Reverend Alex J. Brunett and Mr. Richard H. Lobenthal the 1996 recipients of the Dove Award. This award is presented annu- ally to individuals who have worked to foster understanding and acceptance amonepeople of all faiths. As founding trustees of the Ecumenical Institute, both honorees were instrumental in its Richard Lobenthal establishment, actively guiding its work in the formative years and committing themselves to the ideals of interfaith work. Born and educated in Detroit, Bishop Brunett served as- pastor at St. Aidan Parish in Livonia and Shrine of the Little Flower in Roy- al Oak. In 1994 he was appoint- ed Bishop of Helena,Mont. A founding board member of the Michigan Coalition for Human Rights, Mr. Lobenthal has also been a member of numerous boards and consultant to police departments, schools and gov- ernment agencies. Sinai, New York. Mr. Stern is spending the year travelling around the world, acting as a trouble shooter for AZA, helping chapters plan programs and solve problems.
