WEST BLOOMFIELD

continued from page 99

the real thing will enjoy Mai Tai with its
very spicy or non-spicy foods concocted
for authentic and traditional tastes at lunch
or dinner. It presents a casual atmosphere
with seating around 100 and is open set
en days a week.

Stage & Co., 6873 Orchard Lake Rd.,
West Bloomfield, 855-6622. The dom-
inant consistency of this highly-acclaimed
critic's choice restaurant is in its menu se-
lection and food preparation. But it is also
proof that you can teach an od dog new
tricks. Although in existence since 1962,
Stage & Co. also features items it has net
er had before, along with homemade
Jewish dishes and dietary-restricted de-
lights to satisfy all appetites.

Steve's Back Room, 7295 Orchard
Lake Road, 851-1133. It's east side lo-
cation is where so many people from
all over have gone for fresh Middle-East-
ern food. Now there is a Steve's Back
Room in West Bloomfield, serving the
same excellent dining fare with many dish-
es not seen anywhere in this region. The
display cases and carry-out sector, in-
cluding many favorites plus beer and wine,
is enhanced by the newlyfemodeled wide
open expanse instead of the former Sul-
ton's crowded look.

WINDSOR

Blue Danube, 1235 Ottawa Street,
Windsor, Ontario, 519-252-0246. Fine
Hungarian cuisine is featured, but this pop-
ular family operation also been serving
European and Canadian fare for over
20 years. Specialties with old world au-
thenticity are prepare(' from veal, chick-
en and seafood, baked or broiled. It is
open for businessperson luncheons and
dinners, Monday through Sunday, with
banquet facilities available. Gypsy strolling
musicians serenade at tables Thursday
through Sunday.

location, but with a new menu. It has re-
tained the same casual atmosphere that
people have enjoyed. The new menu
and wine list present refreshing choices
at reasonable prices. Items are included
like fresh fish daily, pasta dishes, sauteed
chicken, veal Asiago, steak, barbecued
baby back ribs, Southwestern dishes, etc.
