contractor Shlomo Dhuki, own-
er of the Penthouse real-estate
company, bought the franchise
rights in both Pizza Hut and
Kentucky Fried Chicken from
Clal Retail chains.
Mr. Dh 1116 plans to more than
double the number of Pizza Hut
and Kentucky Fried Chicken
restaurants as part of a five-year
development program for the
fast-food chain.
He also announced plans to es-
tablish Pizza Hut Express and
Pizza Hut Delivery services.
The ceremony was attended
by heads of Pepsico Corp., which
owns Pizza Hut and Kentucky
Fried Chicken.
There are currently 17 Pizza
Hut and three Kentucky Fried
Chicken restaurants in Israel.
Clal decided to sell its fran-
chise rights in Pizza Hut and
Kentucky Fried Chicken last
year after incurring heavy loss-
es that convinced it to get out of
the fast-food business.
