BBYO Hosts
Display, Weekend

Michigan Region B'nai B'rith
Youth Organization – AZA, BBG,
Teen Connection – will showcase
the organization March 1-10, at
the Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center. The theme of the
exhibit will be "BBYO on Display
— Discover What Tomorrow's
Leaders Are Doing Today!" The
displays show the diversity of pro-
grams and experiences offered to
the youth. Videos and photo dis-
plays will highlight the youth in-
volved in projects, conventions.
The community is invited to view
the BBYO exhibit during normal
JCC hours.
In addition, BBYO will sponsor
many events during the week.
These events include: Saturday,
March 2, Ahavah Mr. AZA
Pageant, 7:30 p.m., Maple-Drake;
Sunday, March 3, Advisor Recog-
nition and Youth Talent Show-
case, 7 p.m., Maple-Drake; Tues-
day, March 5, AZA and BBG
Council Meetings, 7 p.m., Maple-
Drake; Saturday, March 9, Marx
AZA's 50s Counter Culture Dance
(details to be announced); Sunday,
March 10, BBYO Membership
Open House and Parent Orienta-
tion, 2-4 p.m., Maple-Drake.
This weekend, Feb. 23-25, is
filled with may BBYO programs.
Thirty-eight AZA and BBG mem-
bers will attend the Young Lead-
ership Conclave II to be held at
the Charles and Florence Milan
Conference Centre in Belle Rive,
Ontario. A delegation of BBYOers
also will attend the Robert Korn-
wise Judaica Weekend at Camp
Mass. The theme is "Jewish Youth
in the 90s."
On Sunday, Feb. 25, Metropol-
itan Detroit Teen Connection will
attend a program at Haverhill
Farms in White Lake. There is a
charge, which includes a chartered
bus from the Maple-Drake JCC
and horseback riding. The bus will
leave at 3 p.m. and return at 6:45
p.m. On sunday, Feb. 25, AZA
Basketball League, 4:30-6:30 p.m.,
and BBG Mind, Body, Attitude
League, 3-4 p.m., will continue at
Maple-Drake.
