Rachel Lynn Schechter and Ja-
son Reed Zimmerman were re-
cently married at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek. Rabbi Irwin
Groner, Cantor Chaim Najman
and Cantor Sidney Rube offici-
ated.
The bride is the daughter of
Bluma and Robert Schechter of
Bloomfield Hills, The groom is
the son of Helene and Robert Got-
tlieb of Baldwin Harbor, N.Y.,
and Richard Zimmerman of New
York City and Amagansett, N.Y.
Buffy Schechter, cousin of the
bride, was maid of honor. Scott
Bigman was the best man. Brides-
maids were Jennifer Zimmerman,
sister of the groom, Jennifer Bar-
get, Bonnie Feldman, Michelle

Jaffe, Marla Lieberman, Stacy
Lieberman, Julia Schechter and
Susie Schechter. The ushers were
Greg and Marc Schechter, broth-
ers of the bride, Eric Karasyk,
stepbrother of the groom; Glen
Clark, JeffJaffe, Glen Mintz, Scott
Rabin, Rick Sandler and Jay
Schiffman.
Also participating in the wed-
ding were the bride's grandpar-
ents, Elsie and George Bremen;
the groom's grandmothers, Sel-
ma Cohen and Marty Zimmer-
man; and Lauren and Benjamin
Schechter, niece and nephew of
the bride.
The couple honeymooned in
Italy and reside in New York
City.

Shelly Ann Messina and Mitchell
Alan Lipton were recently mar-
ried at Bay Pointe Country Club.
Rabbi Dannel Schwartz and Can-
tor Harold Orbach officiated.
Shelly is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. George Messina of
Bloomfield Hills. Mitchell is the
son of Mr. and Mr. Iry Lipton of
Farmington Hills.
Susan Newman, sister of the
groom, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lisy Starr,
Sandy Klein, Jody Rogow, Cindy
Burns, Marla Must. Rachel New-
man, niece of the groom, was

flower girl.
Craig Newman, brother-in-law
of the groom, was best man. The
groomsmen were Craig Starr,
Barry Rogow, Ricky Rogow,
Howard Babcock, Billy Gonte and
Michael Messina, brother of the
bride. Mathew Berkseth, cousin
of the bride, was ring bearer.
Also participating in the cer-
emony were grandmothers of the
bride, Virginia Pilarski and Ann
Messina.
Following a honeymoon in the
Caribbean, the couple reside in
Bloomfield Hills.
