chairmen of Days of Decision, the
major community fund-raising
event that concludes the 1996 Al-
lied Jewish Campaign.
The com-
munity-wide
volunteer
phonathon
will take place
March 24-26.
A longtime
Campaign vol-
unteer, Mr.
Kaufman is a
past Super
Sunday chair-
man. He is a
Jerald Kaufman
former chair-
man of the
Campaign's
Metropolitan
Division and
participated in
the Jewish
Federation's
Hadracha
leadership
mission to Is-
rael.
Mr. Kauf-
man is a vice
president of
Bluma Schechter
the Jewish
Community Center and chairs
the Center's Jimmy Prentis Mor-
ris Building Committee. He also
chaired several other Center
committees.
A participant in Campaign ac-
tivities for several years, Mrs.
Schechter is a committee mem-
ber for the Jewish Federation
Women's Campaign and Educa-
tion Department Choices fund-
raiser and a participant in the
women's Lion of Judah Cam-
paign section.
She also is affiliated with Na-
tional Council of Jewish Women,
Hadassah, Women's American
ORT, Israel Bonds, SPACE, Ju-
venile Diabetes Foundation and
Michigan Cancer Foundation.
She is a day camp facilitator and
community education speaker
for Maplegrove Centers for
Chemical Dependency.
Every individual who in-
creases his or her Campaign gift
this year will see the increase
matched dollar for dollar by the
Davidson Challenge
Fund.
