Machon LTorah will hold its next
Jewish History Lecture Series on
Saturday, Feb. 17. The lecture
will be presented by Rabbi
Shmuel Irons, dean, Kollel Insti-
tute of Greater Detroit, on the top-
ic of "The Ascendancy of an Era:
The Transition from the era of
Tannaim to the era of the
Amoraim."
The event will be held at Ma-
chon L'Torah, 15221 W. Ten Mile
Rd., Oak Park. Lectures are giv-
en every Saturday evening at 9
p.m. There is a charge. For infor-
mation and registration, call Dr.
Mark Blumenkehl, 557-5725; or
Dr. David Weingarden, 569-7066.
Machon L'Torah will hold a
lunchtime conference at Miller,
Canfield, Paddock, and Stone, 150
W. Jefferson, Detroit, on Tuesday,
Feb. 20, at 12:15 p.m. The pro-
gram will include lunch followed
by a discussion led by Rabbi Avra-
ham Jacobovitz on "Jewish
Ethics." The hosts for this lun-
cheon are Michael Traison and
Richard Loebl. There is no charge.

Holocaust Survivor's Support
Group will meet Mondays from
9:30 a.m. to noon at JPM JCC. Dr. •
Charles Silow of Sinai Hospital
facilitates this support group for

The National Council of Jewish
Women's Up and Out Program
will host a concert by Cantor Sid-
ney Resnick accompanied by Lil-
lian Zellman on Thursday, Feb.
22, at 1 p.m. There is no charge;

the featured performer Sunday,
Feb. 25, at the monthly meeting
of the Middle Years Group of
Temple Beth El.
The 1 p.m. program will be pre-
