February Show

Fifty years have passed since the
end of World War II, and many
people felt that it was time to ac-
knowledge the enormous contri-
bution of the Jewish servicemen
from the State of Michigan.
Judy Cantor, of the Michigan
Jewish Historical Society, and
Steve Rossman put together an
exhibit at the Jewish Communi-
ty Center in West Bloomfield,
which showed the Michigan ser-
vicemen in their various jobs.
There were pictures and stories of
medal winners, men and women
who had received battle stars,
those who were wounded.
Shaarey Zedek Productions, for
the month of February, will focus
on the exhibit on Michigan Ser-
vicemen at the Maple-Drake.
Geri Levit, producer and host
of the telecast interviews, Judy
Cantor and Steve Rossman show
how the exhibit was put togeth-
er and discuss the impact on the
community.
On the program, Ms. Levit also
interviews Jerome Stasson, who
was chosen by the Holocaust Mu-
seum in Washington, D. C., to tell
his story of being one of the first
American soldiers to enter
Buchenwald. Sid Seigel, and Shel-
don Lutz are also interviewed.
This program is produced at the
studios of Continental Cable in
West Bloomfield and copies of it
and all the other programs may
be found in the library of Congre-
gation Shaarey Zedek. Following
