PARKING AND ENTRANCE IN REAR

Jerusalem (JPFS) — Lynn-Bich-
ler Human Resources an-
nounced it has signed an
agreement to represent place-
ment agency Global Human Re-
sources in Israel.
"There is no doubt that sign-
ing of the (strategic alliance)
agreement represents another
important step in the company's
development and brings us into
a new era of international ac-
tivity," board chairman Uriel
Lynn said.
The GHR, group includes com-
panies Management Recruiters
Incorporated of Cleveland, Ohio,
which serves the United States;
H. Neumann International of
Vienna, which serves Western
Europe; Morgan and Banks of
Sydney, Australia, and Asia;
and Goddard, Kay, Rodgers of
the United Kingdom, Europe
and India.
GHR group members search
and recruit mid-to-upper level
technicians, professional, exec-
utive and managerial talent for
permanent placement or inter-
im staffing.
The group employs more than
4,000 people in 655 offices world-
wide. Lynn-Bichler said that by
joining the GHR network it
would be able to offer Israeli
companies and managers direct
access to management person-
nel around the globe.

Airport Traffic
On The Increase

Jerusalem (JPFS) — A total of
6.8 million passengers passed
through Ben-Gurion Airport last
year, a 15 percent rise from
1994, according to figures re-
leased recently by the Civil Avi-
ation Administration (CAA).
The increase, according to the
administration's annual report,
was the result of a rise in both
the number of incoming tourists
and of Israelis traveling abroad.
The CAA noted that the local
carriers — El Al and the Sun
Dor and Arkia charter compa-
nies — together enjoyed 46.8
percent of the market.
El Al had an 18 percent in-
crease in passengers from 1994,
while the two charter companies
together had 23 percent more.
As expected, El Al was by far
the largest carrier, with 2.8 mil-
lion passengers, 41.1 percent of
the total. In 1994, El Al carried
2.3 million passengers, or 40.3
percent of the total.
The second-largest number of
passengers was carried by TWA,
which had 278,000, or 4.1 per-
cent. Turkish Airlines was in
third place with 273,000, or 4
percent. The fourth and fifth po-

sitions were held by Lufthansa
(235,000, 3.4 percent) and
British Airways (226,000, 3.3
percent).
Airlines showing large in-
creases in traffic included Air
Sinai, the Egypt Air subsidiary
flying to Israel, which jumped
64 percent; Turkish Airlines,
which showed a 27 percent rise;
and the Romanian airline
Tarom, which had 28 percent
more passengers than in 1994.
Airlines that began flying to Is-
rael last year included World
Airlines, Air Canada, JAT and
Korean Air.

Teva Purchases
Biocraft

Jerusalem (JPFS) — Teva Phar-
maceutical Industries has
signed an agreement to pur-
chase Biocraft Laboratories, a
major manufacturer and mar-
keter of generic drugs in the
United States, for $296 million
in a deal involving an exchange
of shares, the companies an-
nounced.
According to the agreement,
Biocraft shareholders will own
approximately 10.7 percent of
Teva, equivalent to about 6.6
million Teva American Deposi-
tory Shares after the transac-
tion is completed.
The companies agreed that
Biocraft shareholders will re-
ceive 0.461 Teva American De-
pository Shares for each
outstanding share of Biocraft
common stock. Based on the
closing price of Teva's ADR,
Biocraft shareholders will re-
ceive $20.86 per share of
Biocraft stock.
Teva said completion of the
transaction is subject to the re-
ceipt of regulatory approvals and
the approval of Biocraft share-
holders. Biocraft's principal
stockholders, the Snyder fami-
ly, who own about 60 percent of
Biocraft outstanding shares, al-
ready have an agreement with
Teva, pursuant to which they
have agreed to vote their shares
in favor of the merger.
The companies anticipate
that the transaction will be com-
pleted in the second quarter of
1996.
