Starting Wednesday, Feb. 21, the
LIFE (Learning Is a Family Ex-
perience) students of Congrega-
tion B'nai Moshe in grades 1
through 6 will be offered two en-
richment classes on Wednesdays
from 4 - 6 p.m.
In "Hebrew Potpurri," for
grades 1 & 2, the students will
participate in various hands-on
activities to explore the Hebrew
language. In "Ledabeir Ivrit," for
grades 3 - 6, students will have
the opportunity to use the He-
brew language through games,
music and dialogue. There is a
charge.

Habonim Dror Ken Afikim will
hold a program about Israel on
Sunday, Feb. 18, 2 - 4 p.m. at the
home of Shaliach Gadi Raviv,

Southfield. The program is de-
signed for ages 8-15 and is aimed
at conveying major aspects of Is-
rael through Israeli movies.
A selection of short pieces from
Israeli classics will highlight con-
temporary cultural, social, and
political issues. After viewing the
films, discussion will be held.

holds weekly activities in Jewish
and Zionist informal education
in Metro Detroit. Programs are
led by college and high school
students. New members are wel-

Ann Arbor Teen Connection will
hold an ice skating outing at the
new Ann Arbor ice rink, Ann Ar-
bor Ice Cube, on Sunday, Feb. 18,
starting at 6 p.m. The program
will finish at 8:30 p.m. The
charge is $9 for members and
$11 for non-members; this in-
cludes skates, skating and re-
freshments. There is a $3
deduction if you bring your own
skates.

mance and Fund-Raiser will be

JPM JCC. The intergenera-
tional choir, sponsored by the
Max M. Fisher Community
Foundation, will perform songs
in Russian, English, Hebrew
and Yiddish. Larissa Matusova
is the choir director; Liliya
Ostapenko will be the accom-

Silver Bell Banjo Society will
perform on Thursday, Feb. 15,
at 1 p.m. The Boaz Siegel Cul-
ture Fund sponsors this after-
noon of Dixieland, jazz and
sing-along entertainment with

`Roots' Trip
On Monday evening, Feb. 19, at
