Bar Mitzvah

Jason Dresner

Jason Alan. Dresner of San An-
tonio, Texas, will be bar mitzvah
at Temple Beth El in San Anto-
nio on February 2 and 3. Rabbi
Samuel Stahl will lead services.
Participating in the ceremony
will be Jason's parents, Jerry
Dresner of Southfield and Tere
Dresner of San Antonio. Grand-
parents are Teresa Martin of
Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and Bil-
lie Dresner of Huntington Woods.
Jason is also the grandson of the
late Enrique Martin and the late
Morris H. Dresner.
A party will be held at the
Hyatt Regency Riverwalk in San
Antonio. Jason is a student at Pat
Neff Middle School in San
Antonio.

Machon Talks
Are Planned

Machon L'Torah will hold a deli
luncheon co-sponsored by the Jew-
ish Student Association of Oak-
land University on Monday, Feb.
5, at noon. Rabbi Avraham Ja-
cobovitz will lead a discussion on
"Turning Lemons into Lemon-
ade." There is no charge. The
event will take place in Annex 1
in the Oakland Center Building.

Machon L'Torah also will hold
a lunch-time mini-conference pro-
gram in conjunction with the Jew-
ish Law Student Association of
University of Michigan on
Wednesday, Feb. 7, at noon. A dis-
cussion will be led by Rabbi Ja-
cobovitz. The program will be held
at the Lawyers Club at the law
school. There is no charge. For in-
formation and to respond call Ma-

Machon will hold its next Jew-
ish History Lecture Series on Sat-
urday, Feb. 3, at 9 p.m. at Machon.
The lecture will be presented by
Rabbi Shmuel Irons, dean, Kollel
Institute of Greater Detroit, on
"How Did They Live In Antiqui-
ty? Daily Life at the Time of the
Mishna and Talmud."
Lectures are given every Sat-
urday evening. There is a charge.
