ward Grill in Birmingham for the
monthly Young Adult Division
Bar Night.
The Jewish Federation's YAD
provides political awareness, so-
cial, cultural and community out-
reach activities for single and
married Jewish young adults
throughout the tri-county area.

Stepping Stones
Program Set

Families of children enrolled in
the Stepping Stones to a Jewish
Me community program are in-
vited to "Learn Torah While
Standing on One Foot." This pro-
gram will take place Sunday,
Jan. 28, 1:30 - 3 p.m. at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
This event is part of a two year
program which introduces the ba-
sics of Judaism. There is no
charge for the family event.

Midrasha Sets
Hebrew Classes

The Midrasha Center for Adult
Jewish Education will hold a He-
brew Open House for people who
considering becoming students in
the Midrasha Hebrew program.
Scheduled for Wednesday,
Jan. 31, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the
Agency for Jewish Education, the
open house will offer the oppor-
tunity to meet with Midrasha's
Hebrew instructors.

The normal deadline for local news and
publicity items is noon Thursday, eight
days prior to issue date. The deadline for
birth announcements is 10 a.m. Monday,
four days prior to issue date; out-of-town
obituaries, 10 a.m. Tuesday, three days
prior to issue date.
