Satellite

The Discovery Seminar will come
to Ann Arbor on Sunday, Feb. 11
at the Jewish Resource Center,
1335 Hill Street in Ann Arbor. The
event, sponsored by Machon
L'Torah, is part of a series of spe-
cial events that Machon L'Torah
will hold in celebration of the grand
opening of its newest satellite.
The Discovery Seminars ana-
lyze many of the fundamental
claims of Judaism and evaluate
the evidence that supports those
claims.
General admission to Discov-
ery is $18 and $5 for students,

Chaplain Shares
His Adventures

Rabbi Israel Haber, a decorated
former United States Air Force
chaplian now living in Israel's
Golan Heights, will recount his ex-
periences in the Air Force and the
public service sector 2 p.m. on Sun-
day, Feb. 25, at the Jewish Fed-
eration Building, 6735 Telegraph.
The lecture is titled "A Rabbi's
Northern Adventures - From The
Heights of Alaska To the Golan
Heights." Rabbi Haber is a certi-
fied psychologist and ordained
rabbi; he was awarded the Unit-
ed States Air Force Meritorious
Medal in 1976. Rabbi Haber now
directs Jewish outreach activities
in the southern Golan Heights.
