It's The Smart Way To
Go To Dinner.

hey say that the second time around is usually the best, which is why we are
even more proud of Cuisine 1996.
After the huge success of Cuisine's premier in January, 1995, there were
many thoughts that it could not be topped; that the list of fine restaurants
recommended could not be equaled anywhere in the United States.
Well, it has ... right here in Metropolitan Detroit ... by the second edition of Cuisine.
Almost all who were invited this year have returned again ... Those not in business
have been replaced.
Whoever said that Metropolitan Detroit was a gastronomical desert must have been
doing a Rip Van Winkle and having a good sound sleep.
In this area, quality restaurants abound, providing those who take the time to enjoy

them with a wealth of varied culinary experiences.
From our viewpoint, in balance, we're still among the number one eating areas in the country, considering
everything ... the number of fine places to dine, the extraordinary variety, quality of food, service, surroundings,
exceptional culinary talent and wide area in which distinctive food can be found.
Cuisine, we believe, helps prove our point ... We're sure you will agree with us and hope that you will try as
many of these fine restaurants as you can ... You'll enjoy them and probably be rather proud of yourself in the
bargain
We recommend each participant in Cuisine ... If we didn't like it, the restaurant would not have been included
... What is important, though, is not which is "best" to us, but which is "best" to you ... That depends on the cir-
cumstances of the moment, the occasion, your mood, who is with you, and what and how much you want to eat,
how much you want to spend, etc. etc.
Please note that the menus presented are subject to change as to both food items and, of course, prices ...
They should be taken only as general guidelines ... In some cases, menu items have been rearranged or eliminat-
ed to meet space requirements or to fit our format ... In a few instances this may mean that daily dinner specials
(which most restaurants have) or such items as desserts, vegetables or beverages, are not listed ... This does not
mean that they are unavailable, they are in fact provided.
