Eleven youth leaders from the
Detroit Metro area will join the
annual national convention, at
Parry Sound, Maple Lake Resort,
Toronto, Dec. 25-31. The partic-
ipants are Sharon Ram, Shana
Salinger, Segev Philips, Adam
Lowy (all from Detroit); Mira
Sussman, Ari Sussman, Dana
Aronson, Ari Lampear, Sara
Lampear, Naomi Adiv (Ann Ar-
bor) and David Davis (Kalama-
zoo). A total of 200 participants
are expected from throughout the
United States and Canada, rang-
ing in age from 11th grade to uni-
versity students.
The focus of this year's semi-
nar will be "Providing Concrete
Follow-Up to the Israel Experi-
ence". A special session will be
dedicated to assassination of
Prime Minister Rabin, and will
reiterate the movement's com-
mitment to the peace process in
the Middle East.
Habonim Dror in Metro De-
troit participates in community
programs and operates local
chapters in Detroit, Ann Arbor,
and Tavor summer camp, Three
Rivers.

The Jewish Parents Institute
(JPI), an alternative Jewish Sun-
day School, will hold an open
house 10 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on Sun-
day, Jan. 14, for prospective
members at Maple-Drake. Cof-

JPI is an organization dedi-
