her daughter and son-in-law,
Mille and Herbert Chad of

great-grandchildren, Andy and

SARAH SONIA PITLER, 88,
of Oak Park, died Dec. 23. She
is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, William and
Sandra of West Bloomfield;
sister and brother-in-law, Etta
and Arthur Goldberg of South-
field; three grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren. Services
were held at Machpelah Ceme-
tery Chapel in Ferndale fol-
lowed by interment at the

DAVID RICE, 77, of West

Bloomfield, died Dec. 24. Mr.
Rice was carpet executive with
Beckwith Evans Carpets. Mr.
Rice earned his master's of
business administration from
the University of Michigan. He
was a member of Congregation
Beth Shalom and a lieutenant
in the United States Navy in
World War II.
Mr. Rice is survived by his
wife, Frances; sons and daugh-
ter-in-law, William and Toni of
Israel, Michael of Los Angeles,
Steven of Las Vegas; grand-
children, Rachel and Chana
Rice. Interment at Adat
Shalom Memorial Park. Con-
tributions may be directed to a
charity of one's choice.

NADINE ROBINS, 43, for-
mer Detoiter of Highland
Park, N. J., died December 21.
Ms. Robins is survived by her
sister and brother-in-law, Mar-
cia and Norman Shiffman of
Highland Park, N. J.; uncle
and aunt, Dr. Sheemon and
Rachel Wolfe of Dayton, Ohio;
nephew, Samuel Shiffman.
