Jewish Experiences for Families
(JEFF), a division of the Agency
for Jewish Education will offer
two programs which celebrate
the spirit of Havdalah with Con-
gregations Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses in West Bloomfield and
Shir Tikvah in Troy.
Congregation Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses will host families
with children and young adults
to Havdalah and hot dogs. Par-
ticipants will spend an evening
visiting the Starlab with a guest
from the Detroit Science Center,
making glow-in-the-dark-crafts
and enjoying dinner. The event
will take place on Saturday, Jan.
6, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Congrega-
tion Beth Abraham Hillel Moses.
Adult dinners will cost $6 and
children's dinners will cost $3.50.

Program for Holocaust Sur-
vivors, Families, and Friends will
present another film as part of
its ongoing Yiddish Film Series.
The Yiddish film The Singing
Blacksmith, starring singer
Moishe Oysher, will be shown.
This 90-minute Yiddish film
with English subtitles will also
be shown at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris JCC on Monday morn-
ing, Jan. 8 at 9:30 a.m. Re-
freshments will be served; there
is no charge. Following the film,
a discussion will be held with
