Schloss-Kapen

Debra Ilana Schloss and Dr.
Ehud (Udi) Hovav Kapen were
recently married at Shaarey-
Zedek B'nai Israel Center. Rabbi
Leonardo Bitran and Cantor
Chaim Najman officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Barbara Mills and Abraham
Block of Bowie, Md. The groom
is the son of Dr. Sheldon and
Rachel Kapen of West Bloom-
field. The groom is doing his pe-
diatric residency at Children's
Hospital of Michigan.
Michelle Gordon, sister of the

bride, was matron of honor. Leah
Selma Schloss, daughter of the
bride, was flower girl. Brides-
maids were Miriam Seagle, Sami
Siegel, Cari Kehr, Miriam
Leaned and Sarah Gordon.
Avi Kapen, brother of the
groom, was best man. Ushers
were brothers Gilead and Alon
Kapen, Dr. Alan Woronoff and
Dr. Robert Butryn. Joseph Gor-
don was the ring bearer.
The couple will reside in
Southfield.

Ackerman 50th

Cantor and Mrs. Shabtai Acker-
man, formerly of Detroit, now
Deerfield Beach, Fla., celebrated
their 55th wedding anniversary
recently in Detroit at the bar
mitzvah of their youngest grand-
child.
The Ackermans were joined by

their two children, Mr. and Mrs.
Jerome (Leah) Freedman of
Altamonte Springs, Fla., and
Fred Ackerman of Coral Springs,
Fla. The Ackermans have three
grandchildren. Family from
Israel also attended.
