Schubot Jewellers in Troy.
'While working on a normal per-
petual calendar watch, people
told me it was not possible to
make a Hebraic calendar watch.
I saw this as a challenge and felt
compelled to create one. It was,
however, very difficult to over-
come the inherent technical dif-
ficulties," said Mr. Silberstein.
The difficulties arose because
the Hebraic calendar is based on
both the moon and the sun.
Since Judaism marks the be-
ginning and end of the day with
the sunset, this is the time when
the date changes on the Hebrai-
ka watch.
"Some people pray to express
their faith. I designed a Hebra-
ic calendar watch," added Mr.
Silberstein.
