hanukah, the Festival of Lights, is always a
favorite holiday. Whether it's the lighting of
the candles on the menorah, the waft of pota-
to latkes in the air or the sound of a driedel
spinning, it's a time for families to gather and celebrate.
Associate Editor Elizabeth Applebaum enlightens
us with some hands-on activities for the family for each
of the eight days of Chanukah. If you're searching for
a new menorah, take a look at the artful menorot we
feature in our pages. From gift ideas to holiday plan-
ning, we hope our two gift guides, published Nov. 24
and Dec. 8, will be helpful.
We wish all of our readers a Happy Chanukah.

Sincerely,
