`Come Together' For A Cause

he Fab Four is no
more.
Or is it?
In the wake of
"The Beatles Anthology" TV
special and release of the
group's first new songs in 25
years, the magic of the Beatles
will be recaptured live and in
person with a performance by
the Broadway cast of Beatle-
mania, a multimedia show
spanning Beatle tunes from the
early '60s to the band's breakup.
in 1970.
Coming to the Royal Oak
Music Theatre at 8 p.m. Thurs-
day, Dec. 14, four performers,
who look and sound just like
John, Paul, George and Ringo,
will take center stage.
If you never made it to
Olympia Stadium for one of the
Beatles' two Detroit concerts
and want to see what all the
hype was about, or you want to
hear Beatles music live, with-
out the screaming that accom-
panied the Liverpool lads'
performances, this is the show
for you.
This event is a benefit for
Bob Bauer's 11th annual
"Marathon for Meals," spon-
sored by radio station WCSX.
This year's goal is to raise 500

Bank of Oakland County,
Gleaners Community Food
Bank and the Macomb Food
Program.
Today, the marathon is De-
troit's largest food drive, and
Bob Bauer can prove it. He's
living on site in the WCSX
truck at 13 Mile and Woodward
in the Northwood Shopping
Center in Royal Oak and will
be collecting nutritional non-
perishable canned goods and
cash donations through 6 p.m.
Dec. 15. Canned goods may also
be brought to the Royal Oak
Music Theatre the day of the
show.
