a founder, with Aharon Aaron
sohn, of Nili, an anti-Turkish
network group formed in Israel
during World War I. He was
handsome and dashing and
wrote numerous letters about
Jewish life in Eretz Yisrael dur-
ing the early part of the centu-
ry. He was killed in 1917 while
