Machon Plans
Talk, Concert

Machon L'Torah will hold a pro-
gram on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 7:30
p.m. for the Russian outreach di-
vision.
The program will start with an
educational lecture by Rabbi Avra-
ham Jacobovitz on "Chanukah
1995 - Civil War or War of Civili-
ty - Historic solutions for contem-
porary dilemmas." Mr. Roman
Lundin will translate the lecture
into Russian simultaneously. The
event will be held at Machon
L'Torah, 15221 W. Ten Mile Rd.,
Oak Park. Refreshments will be
served. There is no charge. For in-
formation, call the Project Achim
coordinator, Mrs. Lena Grinman,
968-6227; or Machon, 967-0888.
Machon will host its 8th an-
nual Chanukah concert 7 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 17, at West Bloom-
field High School. The "Evening
of Jewish Music" will feature the
Dedi from New York and the
singer Yisroel Williger also from
New York. The singers will be
accompanied by Yerachmiel
Stewart's Segula Orchestra and
New York trumpeter Jim Hines.
