As her aunt and uncle, Cantor Norman and Eunice Rose of Southfield are part of the mourning family. Through the efforts of Amy's cousin, Andy Fox, and Gil Helmick, the New Year Coalition was formed. The purpose of the New Year Coalition is to prevent another tragedy. On Dec. 11, the city of New Or- leans is dedicating a monument to Amy on the spot where she was killed.
