BBYO teens get an advanced
esson in Jewish customs under
the chuppah.

The Nov. 19 event, complete
with two rabbis and a cantor, was a mock wed-

nization to familiarize teens with the customs
and meanings of a Jewish wedding ceremony.
Most of the ceremony participants were AZA
and BBG chapter presidents. The mock wed-
ding was part of BBYO's Jewish Heritage
Nights, a three-year-old program to teach about
Jewish issues. Programs in the last year in-
cluded a session on Holocaust revisionism, a
meet-the-rabbis evening and an Israel event.
