Compuware AAA Midget Major
hockey team to the championship
of the Tim Horton Tournament
in mid-November in Waterloo,
Ont.

Tournaments

The Jewish Community Center
is looking for individuals and
teams to participate in roller
hockey, racquetball and walley-
ball tournaments in December
and January.
All three are scheduled for the
Maple-Drake facility.
A rollerblade hockey tourna-
ment will be held Dec. 26-28 with
divisions for ages 7-9, 10-12 and
13-15. Each team must have a
minimum of six and a maximum
of 10 players, and everyone must
wear a helmet with cage, hockey
gloves and shin guards.
A double-elimination racquet-
ball tournament for A-, B- and C-
level players will be held Jan. 5-6.
A co-ed walleyball tournament
is scheduled for Jan. 20-21.

deadlines for racquetball and
walleyball, call 661-7683. For

Akiva Team
Wins Scrimmages

Akiva Hebrew Day School's bas-
ketball team won two scrim-
mages against Baxter Church on
Nov. 19.
In the first scrimmage, Akiva's
David Wolkinson had 17 points
and six rebounds. Ariel Reinitz
had nine rebounds and Yoni
Sherizen had six.
