More than $9,736,000 was realized at a recent Congregation Shaarey Zedek
Israel Bonds Dinner in tribute to Lawrence S. Jackier who was presented
with the State of Israel Peace Medal in recognition of his outstanding
service, Show are David B. Hermelini Rabbi Irwin Groner, William
Davidson, Lawrence S. Jackier, Jane Sherman, Larry Sherman, Marta
Rosenthal and. Ben Rosenthal.

A new sculpture honoring Raoul Wallenberg and commissioned by the family
of Sol King in his memory, is in place at the entrance to the University of
Michigan's Art and Architecture Building on the North Campus. Mr. Wallenberg
and Mr. King were classmates at U-M during the mid '30s. Jon Rush, sculptor
and professor in U-M's School of Art, was selected by Mr. King's family to
create the piece. The work is of granite and stainless steel.
