Thanksgiving

Members of Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue will participate with thier
Christian neighbors in the an-
nual Farmington-area Interfaith
Thanksgiving Service at the
Nardin Park Church on Wednes-
day, Nov. 22, beginning at 7:30
p.m.
Rabbi Efry Spectre will take
part in the service along with
Christian colleagues. At the con-
clusion of the service, there will
be a dessert reception.
Nardin Park Church is locat-
ed at 29887 11 Mile Road in
Farmington.

Hospice Talk
At Kiddush

The Cultural Commission of
Congregation Beth Achim will
hold the next sit-down kiddush
on Saturday, Nov. 18. Services
will begin at 8:45 a.m. followed
by the special kiddush.
The speaker will be Evelyn
Liberman, program integrity ad-
vocate, Hospice of Southeastern
Michigan, who will speak about
Jewish hospice service.
There is no charge for the kid-
dush.

The normal deadline for local news
and publicity items is noon Thursday,
eight days prior to issue date. The
deadline for birth announcements is
10 a.m. Monday, four days prior to is-
sue date; out-of-town obituaries, 10
a.m. Tuesday, three days prior to issue
date.
