LOUIS BERKOWITZ, 69, for-
mer Detroiter of Los Angeles,
died Aug. 25. Mr. Berkowitz de-
voted tireless efforts on behalf
of the Jewish people and the
mentally disadvantaged.

Gary, Paul, Eric and Jennifer;

DOROTHY VALERIE
BLOOMER, 84, of West
Bloomfield, died Nov. 11. Ms.
Bloomer was a claims processor
for Aetna Insurance. She was
the loving mother of the late
Dale Bloomer.
Ms. Bloomer is survived by
her daughter and son-in-law,
Cheryl and Lewis Silver of
West Bloomfield; mother-in-
law, Ardys Bloomer; grandchil-
dren, Rebecca and Jason Silver,
Laura and Thomas Wine, Jen-

fection Mosaic Lodge #530, ac-
tive in the Allied Jewish Cam-

distinguished service award
from the Probus Club. He was
the chairman of the Ushers
Committee of Temple Israel.
Mr. Greenberg was also a lan-
guage interpreter for Russian
Immigrants for Sinai Hospital.
Mr. Greenberg is survived
by his wife, Rose; son, Joseph
J.; grandchildren, Lynne and
Dr. Jeffrey Obron and Adam
Greenberg; great-grandchil-
dren, Elyse and Jacob Obron;
brother, Louis of West Bloom-
field. Interment at Machpelah
