An honorary alumnus of the University, he appreci-
ated its unique contribution to higher education. A
courageous soldier, dynamic leader and respected
world statesman, he represented the struggles and
triumphs of his nation. To his family Bar-Ilan extends
its sincerest condolences, and we pray that his
passing will foster a spirit of unity and a renewed
commitment to the dreams he cherished.
