The company plans to raise about $150 million, through a global offering scheduled for the middle of November. The pro- ceeds of the offering are expect- ed to expand the company's business. Koor's shares are currently traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Ex- change. The global initial public offering will mark the first time Koor's shares are listed on a for- eign exchange. The company plans to issue 4.17 million shares in North America and another 2.78 mil- lion in other parts of the world. The underwriters for the offer- ing have got an overallotment op- tion for another 1.05 million ADS. U.S. investment bank Smith Barney and investment bank Lehman Brothers were chosen to be the world global coordina- tors and major underwriters. Other underwriters include Op- penheimer and Schroder Wertheim. United Bank of Switzerland (UBS), a large investment bank, and investment bank BZW — a member of the British Barclays Group — were chosen as leading underwriters for the interna- tional issue. 1.800-365-9200 CLASSIFIED GET RESULTS! Call The Jewish News 354-5959 Jerusalem — Taas-Israel In- dustries has been awarded a $60 million contract to produce and supply tens of thousands of clus- ter shells for the British army, the company announced. The contract was given to Tans after the British army car- ried out a year-long examination of the Tans-made shells. The British army also exam- ined shells made by French, Ger- man and American companies that competed for the contract. The cluster shells are com- posed of smaller Shabtai h omblets that each have a det- onator that are activated upon hitting the ground, even if the cluster shell is not set off. Taas' cluster bomb also has an exceptionally long firing range and can be sent 35 kilometers, much greater than other cluster bombs available. Taas expressed satisfaction with the deal. 111
