named seven Michigan athletes
to the U.S. team for the Pan
American Maccabi Games.
The event will be held Dec. 24-

Ken Levy's Executive Boxing
Club in Royal Oak will host a
"box-a-thon" 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sat-
urday, Nov. 4, to aid Camp Mak-
A-Dream in Montana.
The camp is designed for chil-
dren with cancer to ride horses,
swim, play sports and hike on an
80-acre ranch. All proceeds from
Saturday's event will be used to
send Detroit-area children to the
camp.

Township, masters basketball.
College athletes named to the
team are Robert Kamins in water
polo and Scott Zack in basketball.
Kamins swam at Bloomfield Hills
Andover High School and is a
member of the University of
Michigan water polo team. Zack
was a basketball star at West
Bloomfield High School and a
walk-on member of Ohio State's
basketball squad last year.
Local high-school athletes who
will compete in the junior games
in Buenos Aires are Chad DeWolf
and Jason Kobernick of Berkley
High and Rebecca Wark of Ann
Arbor Huron. All three will par-
ticipate in track and field.
The college and high-school
athletes are all veterans of the
Detroit and Ann Arbor Maccabi
teams and the JCC North Amer-
ican Maccabi Youth Games.
