At Ridgedale

Ridgedale players, 205 W. Long
Lake, Troy, will present Steel
Magnolias Nov. 9-12 and 16-19.
In conjunction with this pro-
duction, Ridgedale Players will
collect personal care goods and
cosmetics for use of the women
at the Haven in Pontiac. The
Haven is a safe house for abused
women and children. Ridgedale
is asking patrons to bring at least
one item such as shampoo or lip-
stick, deodorant or hairbrush to
the theater. Residents and staff
of the Haven will be guests at the
dress rehearsal of Steel Magno-

lias.

Richter Plays
Classical Guitar

The Cultural Arts Division of the
city of Southfield will present
classical guitarist David Richter
in concert on Sunday, Nov. 5, at
3 p.m. at the DoubleTree Guest
Suites Hotel in Southfield. Mr.
Richter, a resident of Florence,
Italy, will perform for the Con-
certs-in-the-Garden series as
part of his nationwide tour.
This afternoon concert will of-
fer those who attend the oppor-
tunity to meet Mr. Richter
following his performance. Tick-
ets are $5 for the concert, which
includes coffee or tea, and can be
purchased at the door the day of
the concert or by calling the Cul-
