AARP Chapter
Plans Meeting

The Walled Lake Area Chapter
of American Association of Re-
tired Persons, AARP 4679, will
hold its monthly meeting on
Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m. at
the Walled Lake Schools Com-
munity Education Center, 615
N. Pontiac Trail, Walled Lake
(formerly Walled Lake Middle
School). Any Lakes Area com-
munity member, 50 or over, is
welcome to attend.
The film Walled Lake Memo-
ries will be shown. In keeping
with memories, AARP members
are seeking pictures of the old
Walled Lake Casino; bring any
you may have. They also are col-
lecting canned goods for the
needy to be delivered at holiday
time. Any donations are appre-
ciated.

At The JPM

The Jimmy Prentis Morris Jew-
ish Community Center will pre-
sent State Senator Gary Peters
speaking on "Moving Towards a
Senior Citizen Bill of Rights" on
Monday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. There
is no charge.
Meet the Nurse takes place on
the fourth Monday of every
month. Sharon Tomaszewski
from the Oakland County Health
Department will facilitate a dis-
cussion on how to be a healthy
senior in the 90s. This program
is free of charge.
