uate of the School of Education
at Michigan State University and
has accepted the position of sec-
ond grade teacher at Roosevelt
Elementary School in the West
Bloomfield School District.

Betty Stamm
BETTY KOWALSKY STAS-
SON was given the first Distin-
guished Service Award for her
"years of outstanding service" by
the Michigan Music Teachers As-
sociation. She has been a concert
pianist, teacher, lecturer, and ad-
judicator for over 40 years. A
plaque was presented to her at
the 110th annual convention of
the Michigan Music Teachers As-
sociation. She also was given a
Honorary Lifetime Membership
by this organization and was rec-
ognized as the Teacher of the
Year by the Livonia Area Piano
Teachers Forum.
